In the 19th and 20th century many European cities used to have their own lighting manufacturing facilities. When they decided to outsource the production 40-50 years ago, many of them turned to Dahlhaus Lighting.

Since its foundation Dahlhaus had assembled a great collection of vintage designs from cities and estates all over Europe. Owning exclusive rights to traditional designs, Dahlhaus is the natural choice, if one wants the “real deal”.

Today Dahlhaus provides many cities with new outdoor lighting fixtures and replacement parts. The company is proud, to be a part of preserving lighting history.

2. The very best quality – guaranteed!
Dahlhaus Lighting products are of the finest available quality. 90% of the products are hand-made from solid Sand-Cast Aluminum. This method of casting is the original and historic way. The molds are pressed in special sand which is then filled with liquid aluminum. This process guarantees an authentic look and feel of the product. Through this method Dahlhaus is able to achieve a 'slightly imperfect' product surface which gives the lanterns, mailboxes and other products their historic look.
Because of the traditional manufacturing, Dahlhaus products are of substantial weight. They feel solid and heavy and are “made for eternity” – a promise, which is backed up by Dahlhaus’ special lifetime warranty.

Dahlhaus also uses other special techniques during the manufacturing process which are proof of the outstanding quality, such as:
• permanently elastic glass sealant
• multiple paint coatings
• hand applied patina

3. Authentic Craftsmanship
Preserving historic artisanship is one of Dahlhaus main goals. During the manufacturing of products, the craftspeople are using historic tools and authentic procedures whenever possible.

Historically products were made to last – Dahlhaus products are manufactured traditionally – they do not rust and are extremely durable. The additional advantage is that the products will retain and often increase in value over time! Thus they are truly "Instant Antiques".

4. Customization Options
Dahlhaus is proud to offer a large variety of customization options. Since the manufacturing process and the casting of most of the products is traditional hand-work, Dahlhaus is able to satisfy most of the customer wishes – may it be color options (“different patina”), new designs (“mixed and matched” from original parts) or other wishes.
