How long does it take to receive your products once I place an order?
Our usual turnaround time is between four and six weeks. All our products are
manufactured in Germany but mostly sent to you from our facility in Brooklyn,
NY. Larger order may require additional time and are sent directly from Germany
to your destination.
Are all your products available in all the finishes shown on your website?
Yes, since all our products are made to order, you can choose from our full
range of colors and patinas. Let us know if you have a specific color in mind;
we are able to match any desired color.
How are your colors applied. Do I need to choose a patina?
We use multiple layers of color to prevent any damage or breaking of the paint.
Our patinas are always applied by hand and give your fixture or ornament a very
unique touch. Our patinas help to elevate the decorative elements of the pieces
and we always recommend choosing a patina. But, to answer your question, it
is not necessary to choose a patina. Our standard black is a semi flat finish.
Can I place my order by email or do I need to speak with you on the phone?
You can surely place your order by email, just make sure to include all the
necessary information. However, if you plan on paying by Credit Card, please
call us to submit your Credit Card information.
Does sales tax apply?
Sales Tax applies to orders placed in the state of New York.
Do you accept Credit Cards?
Yes, we now accept Visa or MasterCard.
How readily can I convert your standard fixtures to hang from a chain?
In no time! All of our fixtures are available as wall, ceiling or pole mounted
Do you modify fixtures?
Yes. Customized options are our specialties! Since everything is manufactured
in our own foundry in Germany, we are able to change many things on any our
products. We can alter heights, decorations, sockets and so much more. We can
even built a complete new fixture according to your specifications.
Can I have a cluster of Sockets instead of a single socket?
Yes, for the following lines: Berlin "City", "Aktuell" and
Baden Baden II & III, as well as the large 1900 line, you may choose a three
or four cluster socket. Depending on the fixture the extra cost would be somewhere
between $75 and $150 per fixture.
Can I get the Westfalen as a hanging lantern? instead of a wall unit?
Sure, in general, all of our fixtures are available as Wall, Ceiling or Pole
mounted fixtures. When you take a look at our fixture #5119 (in the Westfalen
section of our Website) you will get an idea of how the fixture will look. The
chain will be attached in a similar fashion as seen on our "Berlin Landhaus"
ceiling lantern #1400. Just specify the length!
Can you tell me what size, quantity, and wattage of bulbs your fixtures take?
Most of our fixtures carry one (1) Standard US Socket at 110Volts. You will
be able to use an Incandescent Light bulb with up to 75 Watts. All our fixtures
are manufactured in Germany. They are not UL listed but use only UL parts.
Can the text on the Throw-In-Slots be changed? It currently says "Briefkasten".

Letters, or the Name of the person. No extra charges apply!
I am looking for a wall-mounted, Victorian-style mailbox that opens to allow
the mail carrier to leave large objects (e.g., magazines) inside the box. Do
any of your models permit that?
Yes, all our wall mounted mailboxes have a very large front-door opening, where
basically the entire front of the mailbox opens up. You can choose to have it
secured with a key-lock (as shown), or just a knob. No extra charges apply!
How are your mailboxes mounted to the wall?
Our wall mounted mailboxes have two holes in the inside wall plate. The mailbox
is supplied with the necessary screws and anchors to secure the box safely.
Detailed instructions are available upon request.
On your mailboxes; is the lock/key combination standard? Or can a Knob be installed
instead of the lock?
You have the choice! Our mailboxes usually come with a lock/key combination.
But you can also specify to have a knob instead. If security is an issue, we'd
recommend the lock/key; but otherwise the knob may be the more elegant solution.
